Police Searching for Fugitive Wanted in Chick-Fil-A Delivery Truck Incident

EVESHAM, NJ – Police in Evesham have identified a man wanted for the theft of a catalytic converter from a Chick-Fil-A delivery truck last summer.

On August 7, 2022, at approximately 3:00 AM, patrol officers were dispatched to Chick-Fil-A, located at 220 N. Route 73, in response to a report of a suspect attempting to remove the catalytic converter from a delivery van. The suspect had fled the scene before the officers’ arrival.

However, upon inspection, it was confirmed that the catalytic converter had been cut off from the Chick-Fil-A delivery vehicle. Crime scene technicians from the patrol unit processed the area and collected various pieces of evidence.


An extensive investigation was carried out by the Evesham Township Investigative Bureau, leading to the identification of the suspect as Qabir S. Jones from Penssauken.

A warrant for Jones’ arrest was issued on July 1, in connection with the incident.

Presently, Jones’ whereabouts remain unknown, and he has not yet been apprehended for his involvement in the crime.

The investigation into this case is ongoing, and authorities continue their efforts to locate and apprehend Qabir S. Jones.
