TRENTON, NJ – On July 11, Street Crimes Unit Detectives stopped a man, identified as Smith, in George Page Park for drinking from an open alcoholic beverage, violating a City Ordinance.

During the encounter, Detectives noticed a large bulge in Smith’s waistband that seemed to match the size and shape of a handgun.

A pat frisk conducted for officer safety confirmed the bulge to be a Polymer 80 .9mm semi-automatic handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

The handgun was found to be a “Ghost Gun”, a non-traceable handgun with no serial number. Smith was then arrested and charged appropriately.

It should be noted that charges are mere accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
