NYPD Investigating After Suspects Opened Fire in St. James Park

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating after multiple suspects fired shots into a crowd at a Bronx park.

According to the NYPD, on Thursday, July 6, at approximately 8:15 PM, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of St. James Park.

“These unidentified individuals discharged firearms, posing a grave risk of death or serious physical injury to members of the public present within the park,” the NYPD said.


After the incident, the suspects fled the scene on foot and were last seen heading into 2244 Creston Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
