BURLINGTON CITY, NJ – On Tuesday, Burlington City Police Patrols were dispatched to the 200 Block of Barclay Street following a report of a shooting that occurred at approximately 5:53 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a gunshot victim, a 33-year-old male resident of Burlington City.

The victim was quickly transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The initial investigation by the Burlington City Police indicates that the shooting might have originated from a dispute that occurred earlier in the day, pointing out that this was not a random act of violence.

Burlington City Police Detectives are continuing the investigation. They request anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective David Edwardson.
