CAMBRIDGE, MD – The Cambridge Police Department has announced an arrest in the case of a stolen winning lottery ticket. According to police, Jaclyn Marie Johnson, 35, from Madison, was arrested on Saturday after an active Dorchester County District Court Arrest Warrant was issued.

According to police, Johnson is facing charges of robbery, second-degree assault, and theft in connection to an incident that occurred last Thursday at the K2 Beverage store on Bayly Road.

The department had reported earlier that Johnson allegedly followed a victim who was planning to cash a winning lottery ticket at the store.

Once inside the store, Johnson reportedly forcibly took the lottery ticket and cash from the victim’s hands before making a swift escape.

The identification of Johnson as the suspect was made possible through surveillance footage.

Presently, Johnson is being held without bail at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.
