Christie: I Played Hillary Clinton in Trump Debate Roleplay

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie made an unsettling admission this week on the campaign trail while visiting New Hampshire. During a campaign town hall event, Christie revealed that he roleplayed Hillary Clinton for Donald Trump in a closed-session debate prep.

Christie, who also admitted that he was the first 2016 candidate to endorse Trump and sat on several committees for the former president, said he played the former First Lady to get Trump ready for debates against her.

“This will keep you up at night,” Christie said. “I played Hillary Clinton in debate prep in 2016.”

He also said he roleplayed Joe Biden for Trump in 2020.

Christie said he now opposes Trump for his broken promises and incompetence, saying Trump will be indicted several more times. Christie said Trump will be facing four criminal indictments by August, and he’ll be released on bail on criminal charges in the spring.

The former New Jersey Governor is still polling at 2% in the latest 2024 polls.

“I’m not some never Trumper,” Christie said. “I am against him because he let us down on the issues that he made his promises on. He has already proven he can’t do it.”
