14-Year-Old Boy Shoved Onto NYC Subway Tracks

BROOKLYN, NY – On Monday, around 9:00 AM, a 14-year-old boy reported an assault that happened on a northbound ‘L’ train.

According to the report, after unintentionally bumping into an unidentified individual on the train, the boy was shoved onto the open track area as both of them got off at the Bedford Avenue station.

The boy was able to grab onto the edge of the platform, avoiding contact with the roadway, third rail, or train.

He sustained minor injuries and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull in stable condition. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

Local police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
