BROOKLYN, MD – Three young girls attacked a woman near her car and tried to steal it, but soon realized they couldn’t figure out how to start the car.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred around 12:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Thomas Avenue and Alley 13.

The victim had been assaulted, and three juvenile female suspects stole her keys. The suspects attempted to steal her vehicle but were unsuccessful in starting it, forcing them to flee on foot.

Police officers quickly arrived at the scene and were provided with a suspect description by the victim and a witness, leading them to the 900 block of 1st Avenue.

There, they located three individuals who matched the description. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that all three suspects were involved in the robbery. Additionally, officers found evidence of the crime near where the suspects were apprehended.

Police learned they had arrived at the scene in a white KIA SUV, which was later discovered to have been reported stolen from a neighboring jurisdiction earlier in the day.

The arrested individuals were identified as three juvenile females, aged 15, 14, and 14, all hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. They have been taken into custody and charged accordingly.
