CLAYMONT, DE – Nazere Everett, 23, and Joshua Harris, 25, both of Philadelphia, were apprehended by the Delaware State Police last Thursday, following a month-long investigation. They now face charges related to drug possession and resisting arrest.

The investigation, initiated in July by the New Castle County Governor’s Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations, centered on Everett for suspicion of large-scale heroin and cocaine distribution. On July 27, detectives gained intel of Everett and Harris, his previously unidentified accomplice, allegedly in possession of the substances in Claymont.

Detectives observed the pair at a CVS on 702 Naamans Road around 3:00 pm. Harris, holding a bag with unidentified items, dropped it when he noticed the detectives.

After a brief foot chase, both men were detained. The recovered bag contained approximately 8,400 blue wax bags with 126 grams of suspected heroin and about 120 grams of cocaine.

Everett and Harris were then charged at Troop 2 with multiple felonies, including possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 Quantity and resisting arrest. Both men were committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $243,000 cash bond following arraignment by the Justice of the Peace Court 2.
