Stray Dog Snarls Traffic on I-95 in Philadelphia

Ryan Dickinson

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A dog running loose on a busy Philadelphia highway caused a significant traffic disruption on Friday morning. The canine was first spotted running in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, close to Allegheny Avenue, just before 7:30 a.m.

As drivers attempted to avoid the dog weaving through traffic, the situation escalated, leading to traffic coming to a standstill. Pennsylvania State Police intervened in an attempt to wrangle the furry traffic hazard.

After a mile-long chase, the dog was finally captured and taken to the Town and Country Pet Care Center in Langhorne. Fortunately, despite the chaotic chase, the dog was not injured, although it appeared to have experienced some trauma due to the event.
