COMMACK, NY – Animal rescuers from the Strong Island Animal Rescue League in New York state came to the aid of an owl that found itself in a precarious situation. The owl had accidentally plunged into a swimming pool in Commack and was struggling to escape the water.

Frankie Floridia, a member of the rescue team, received a call from the Sweetbriar Nature Center alerting them to the stranded owl in the pool. The team rushed to the location to assist the distressed bird.

A heartening video captured the rescue mission, showing the team expressing relief upon finding the owl still alive. With utmost care and precision, they used a net to gently fish the owl out of the water, ensuring its safety throughout the process.

Following the successful rescue, the owl was immediately taken to a rehabilitation facility where it will receive the necessary care and attention until it is ready to be released back into its natural habitat.
