Shake Shack, New Eatery Coming Soon to Brick Township

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – It seems like Brick Township gets all the great chains in Ocean County and two more are on their way.

Brick Township is set to welcome a new addition to its dining scene with a Shake Shack restaurant. In addition to the Shake Shack, First Watch, a breakfast, lunch, and brunch eatery, has secured a lease for space in a new pad to be constructed within the Brick Commons shopping center.

This center currently houses Kohl’s, Five Below and ShopRite and is managed by Urban Edge Properties.

The Shake Shack is the company’s first location in Ocean County and one of three within the larger region encompassing Ocean and Monmouth counties. Shake Shack locations in this area are at Monmouth Mall in Eatontown and the Monmouth Travel Plaza in Wall.

Urban Edge Properties obtained approval in October 2020 to demolish a bank on the premises and replace it with a new pad intended to accommodate two the distinct restaurants.

Last year, the company sought approval to add a drive-through lane for the Shake Shack. A competing brand, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened this year in Toms River on Route 37 in the location of the former Perkins Pancake House.
