SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – Tyriek Corbin, 24, from Mastic, has been sentenced to 13 years in prison, with an additional five years of post-release supervision.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced this on Tuesday, following Corbin’s conviction of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Violent Felony.

The court established that on August 14, 2022, around 5:15 pm, Corbin was engaged in a dispute with two individuals on Lockwood Drive in Shirley.

The disagreement escalated rapidly when Corbin retreated into a residence, only to emerge moments later with a loaded firearm. He proceeded to fire multiple shots at a vehicle containing the two individuals, hitting the vehicle thrice. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle did suffer ballistic damage.

The verdict was passed on April 11, by Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei. Kevin Maccarone, Esq. represented Corbin.
