EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Friday, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, in collaboration with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, is set to initiate a DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) Checkpoint. This operation is scheduled to take place from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am along the Black Horse Pike, in proximity to the Tilton Road Interchange.

The primary objective of this initiative is to underscore the hazards associated with operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol or drugs. The checkpoint also serves as a platform for heightened visibility enforcement. In line with these goals, there will be a steadfast zero-tolerance stance towards individuals who choose to drive while impaired by alcohol or drugs.

By conducting this DWI Checkpoint, the law enforcement agencies aim to enhance public awareness of the grave consequences that can result from driving under the influence.
