NEW YORK, NY – A man was killed in an assault in Chinatown early Sunday morning, according to a report from the New York Police Department.
The incident occurred on August 13, 2023, at approximately 3:30 a.m., opposite 104 Bayard Street. Police responded to a 911 call and found an unidentified male with a slash wound to the neck. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals – Bellevue Hospital and was later pronounced deceased.A 49-year-old male has been taken into custody regarding the incident and is considered a person of interest by the police.
