Bicycle Thugs Targeting Jewish Victims in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – The New York Police Department is seeking information regarding two incidents in which Jewish individuals were targeted by suspects riding on a CitiBike in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

On Thursday, August 17, at around 7:30 p.m., two separate attacks occurred near Wallabout Street and Walton Street.

In the first incident, a 43-year-old male victim wearing traditional Jewish attire was walking at the corner when two unknown individuals on a CitiBike approached from behind. The passenger in the front slapped the victim on the back of his head. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured.

In the second incident, at the same time, a 24-year-old female victim, also dressed in traditional Jewish attire, was walking in front of 184 Wallabout Street when the same suspects approached on a CitiBike. The front passenger slapped her in the back of her head as well. She too was not physically injured.
