Suspect Arrested in Drive-by Shooting in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD – An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with a shooting incident that took place at the intersection of Maces Lane and Bayly Rd on August 16. At approximately 11:03 p.m., Cumberland Police Department (CPD) officers were contacted by a victim at CPD headquarters, reporting a near miss in a drive-by shooting.

According to the victim, while traveling in a vehicle in the mentioned area, another vehicle was at the intersection. As the victim passed by, the subject in the other vehicle fired multiple shots at them. Though the victim was not struck, they were able to identify the shooter as Robinson.

Officers promptly responded to the described location, where they discovered multiple spent .45 caliber ammunition rounds, as well as a live round.


CPD officers subsequently applied for charges against Robinson with the Court Commissioner, resulting in the issuance of an arrest warrant.
