STATEN ISLAND, NY – Lloyd Francis, a 19-year-old resident of Staten Island, has been arrested by the New York City Police Department on Tuesday at approximately 8:35 a.m. He faces multiple charges including attempted murder, two counts of assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident took place on Saturday, August 12, when a 38-year-old male victim was standing near the intersection of Crescent Avenue and Jersey Street.
An unknown individual, now identified as Francis, displayed a firearm and discharged it several times, hitting the victim around the torso. The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center and is in stable condition.
In light of ongoing investigations, it has been determined that a second individual was present during the time of the incident and also displayed a firearm. Media has been released depicting this second individual.
