WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch is currently investigating a tragic incident that took place in Southwest, D.C. on Tuesday afternoon.
First District officers were called to the 200 block of N Street at approximately 2:49 p.m. following a report of an unconscious individual. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 70-year-old female, later identified as Lucy Williams of Southwest, D.C., suffering from a gunshot wound. After confirming there were no signs of life, the victim was pronounced and remained at the scene until transportation to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
While further examining the scene, an adult male was found deceased inside the location, also from a gunshot wound. A firearm was also retrieved at the scene.
