NYPD Announces Arrests in Multiple Attempted Murder Cases

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department made two significant arrests in connection with attempted murder charges within the confines of the 68 Precinct in Brooklyn.

The first arrest occurred on Monday when Abu Gaye, a 21-year-old male residing at 1848 Eastern Parkway, was charged at 0900 hours with Attempted Murder (3 counts), Assault (2 counts), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon: Loaded Firearm.

The second arrest was made on Wednesday when Omogoriola Omotosho, a 20-year-old male residing at 2970 West 27 Street, was charged at 10:40 am with Attempted Murder (3 counts), Assault (2 counts), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon: Loaded Firearm.

In a separate ongoing investigation, the NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in an assault that occurred on Friday, June 23, at approximately 4:10 pm.

An unidentified male individual discharged a firearm, striking a 21-year-old female in the right thigh and a 24-year-old male in the right arm in front of 9413 5 Avenue. Both victims were transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male, dark complexion, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, medium build, and was last seen wearing an all-dark blue tracksuit, white and red sneakers, and a black ski mask with his face showing.
