BRONX, NY – An unidentified male discharged multiple rounds of ammunition at a group gathered on East 179th Street on August 28, according to the New York Police Department. The incident occurred near the Lambert Houses, two blocks away from the Bronx Zoo.
At approximately 3 p.m., the male suspect pulled a firearm and fired towards the assembled individuals. Following the incident, the gunman was seen walking away westbound on East 179th Street, accompanied by three other individuals.
No injuries were reported in the shooting.
Police have released surveillance footage of the suspects involved and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
