Newport News, VA – The Newport News Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in solving the homicide of 43-year-old Bryan Scott Wood.
His body was found near railroad tracks in the 6100 block of Jefferson Ave on July 11, after a citizen reported the discovery.
Police later determined that Wood died from blunt force trauma. Detectives are interested in speaking with individuals who were camping in the vicinity with Wood.
Persons of interest include Steven Bennett, known as Cowboy; Helen Huff; and Damon Jones.
