CAPE MAY, NJ – Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., affirmed that Republicans will continue to press the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for unredacted communications related to Ukraine and Burisma involving President Joe Biden and his son. Van Drew emphasized the demand for transparency during an appearance on Newsmax’s “Carl Higbie FRONTLINE.”

“It’s their responsibility to give it. If they don’t give it, we will keep pressing them, whether it’s Judiciary or Oversight, because we need this information,” Van Drew said. “If it was national security, we would understand. It isn’t about national security. It’s about the corruption of this administration, and they don’t want us to know.”

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., has previously requested NARA to release any unredacted records where President Joe Biden used a pseudonym during his vice presidency. The requests are part of an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s business activities.

According to Van Drew, the documents are crucial for investigating what he describes as “corruption of this administration.” He stated that if the requests are not met, Republicans will continue to press the issue through relevant committees.
