SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – New Jersey has many boardwalks along its 141 miles of sun bleached beaches and oceanfront, but which is best for you?

The New Jersey Department of Tourism laid it out in a nutshell.

For those who love thrills and a vibrant atmosphere, Seaside Heights Boardwalk is the go-to destination. Known for its jumbo pizza, amusement rides, and water slides at Casino Pier & Breakwater Beach Waterpark, this boardwalk offers endless entertainment.

Atlantic City Boardwalk is for the high rollers and luxury seekers. With neon-lit casino resorts, world-class entertainment, and top-notch dining, it’s the Vegas of the East Coast. Don’t forget to visit the iconic Steel Pier while you’re there.

If you’re a fan of mid-century aesthetics, The Wildwoods is your boardwalk. Known for the world’s largest concentration of Doo-Wop architecture, it offers a retro, carnival-like atmosphere. Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Waterparks provide endless fun, complemented by the nostalgic “Watch the tram car, please” announcement.

Asbury Park Boardwalk is the place for music and art lovers. Home to The Stone Pony, where rock legends got their start, and adorned with murals, it offers a blend of auditory and visual delights. Long Branch is also a hip spot these days.

For family-friendly fun, head to the Ocean City Boardwalk. From bike rides and mini-golf to all-ages rides at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, it’s a wholesome destination. Don’t forget to try the locally-made ice cream and fudge. Wildwood also fits the bill for family fun.

If tranquility is what you’re after, boardwalks at Spring Lake, Avon-By-The-Sea, and Ocean Grove offer serene settings. Here, the rhythmic sound of the ocean waves provides the perfect backdrop for a peaceful stroll.

Other options include Ortley Beach and Seaside Park when it comes to quiet and rural settings.

Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk offers a bit of everything. Whether you’re into amusement rides and games of chance or prefer a visit to Jenkinson’s Aquarium, there’s something for everyone. And if you’re a fishing enthusiast, the spot where the boards meet the Manasquan Inlet offers prime fishing opportunities.

Whatever your style or interest, New Jersey has a boardwalk that’s just right for you.
