Traffic Backup on Garden State Parkway North Near Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Traffic along the Garden State Parkway in Toms River is backed up for nearly two and a half miles this morning as workers return to work and school is in session in most towns across the region.

Around 7:35am, the Garden State Parkway northbound from south of Exit 83 to north of Toms River Toll Plaza in Toms River Twp experiences a 2 1/2 mile delay, caused by volume.

Here’s what else is happening:


As of 7:49am, delays on NJ 29 northbound stretch from NJ 129 in Hamilton Twp to CR 653/Calhoun St in Trenton due to volume. All lanes are open.

By 7:44am, I-295 northbound near Exit 67 in Lawrence Twp experiences delays also due to volume, with all lanes open.

At 7:41am, US 1 northbound from Quaker Bridge Rd to Harrison St in West Windsor Twp has delays, with all lanes open due to volume.

At 7:34am, delays occur on the Garden State Parkway southbound exiting at Exit 130B-A in Woodbridge Twp, also due to volume.

Finally, as of 7:16am, NJ 18 northbound between West Ferris St and Eggers St in East Brunswick Twp has less than a 5-minute delay due to construction. All lanes are open.
