Armed Assault in Grocery Store, Suspects at Large

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Monday, August 28, at approximately 4:40 pm, two unidentified male individuals entered a grocery store at 2258 3rd Avenue.

One individual shot a 23-year-old male in the back, while the other forcibly removed a backpack from another male victim.

A 43-year-old male bystander was also shot in the back of the right thigh while exiting the store.

All victims were taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

The New York City Police Department has released surveillance photos of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
