ALLENTOWN, PA – Marlon T. Carrasquilla, a 26-year-old resident of Tilghman Street, Allentown, has been charged by the Allentown Police Department following a series of hit-and-run incidents. On Saturday, at around 3:00 am, patrol units were dispatched to the 1600 Block of Tilghman Street after receiving reports of an auto accident involving a tow truck that struck approximately seven parked vehicles.
Additional calls reported that the same tow truck had struck several more parked vehicles in the 1200 block of Tilghman Street. Officers located and stopped a tow truck matching the description a short distance away.
Carrasquilla fled on foot but was apprehended and charged with multiple offenses, including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, DUI/Unsafe Driving, and Hit & Run to Unattended Vehicle, among others.
A total of fourteen vehicles were found to have been damaged during the incident. Carrasquilla was taken into custody and transported to the Lehigh DUI Center for processing. The Fourth Platoon of the Allentown Police Department was responsible for the apprehension.
