BALTIMORE, MD – Two teens have been detained by the Department of Juvenile Services following a ghost gun shooting on Silerton Road, as investigators believe those responsible for the weapon are now in custody.
Officers from the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the incident on September 11 at approximately 2:40 p.m., where they found a male juvenile with a gunshot wound. The victim, who is not a Baltimore County Public School student, was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Initially, some individuals were detained as detectives assessed their involvement.
Three area schools were put on lockout status following the incident, although the shooting did not take place on school property. Police maintained a presence during school dismissal to ensure student safety.
