Glen Ridge Dominates Belleville with a 35-6 Victory

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – Glen Ridge secured their first win of the season with a commanding 35-6 win over Belleville in Super Football Conference (SFC) play on Monday.

Glen Ridge improves to 1-2, while Belleville remains winless at 0-3. Quarterback Dylan Oneil of Glen Ridge threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns in a game where Glen Ridge dominated on both sides of the ball.

The scoring opened with David Kelly’s 11-yard touchdown run, followed by Morgan Horan’s 20-yard touchdown reception from Oneil. Glen Ridge’s defense also shined, highlighted by Brad Foster’s 90-yard interception return for a touchdown. The first half closed with Griffin Looney hauling in a 40-yard pass from Oneil and Kelly returning an interception for 47 yards, each leading to touchdowns.


On the defensive end, Glen Ridge showcased its ability to disrupt plays. Brad Foster contributed with an interception, further hindering Belleville’s chances of getting on the scoreboard.

For Glen Ridge, Frankie Renois led the ground game with 39 rushing yards, while Griffin Looney stood out in receiving with 51 yards. David Kelly also contributed in multiple facets of the game, rushing for a touchdown and returning an interception for another.

Belleville struggled to generate offense throughout the game and failed to provide detailed individual statistics. The team’s sole score came in the second quarter, leaving them with much to address in upcoming matchups.
