East Orange showed signs of life in the second quarter when Fisher connected with Hanks for an 8-yard touchdown. Irvington quickly responded as Herron scored his second rushing touchdown of the day. East Orange again found the end zone, this time with a 78-yard pass from Fisher to Hanks. However, Richardson’s 100-yard interception return gave Irvington a comfortable 28-13 lead at halftime.

The third quarter featured touchdowns from both teams. Ahkir Morgan caught a 26-yard pass from Fisher for East Orange, narrowing the score to 28-20. Irvington answered back with a 3-yard run by Malachi Dudley and a 70-yard fumble return by Ishmail Shabazz.
