Police Provide More Details on Monroe Township Plane Crash

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Monroe Township Police Department responded to an aircraft accident near Cross Keys Airport at 4:14 p.m. today.

Police said the pilot of the small plane was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

A single-engine Cessna 150G banner plane crashed in the woods west of the airport while attempting to lift a banner. The pilot, a 62-year-old male and the sole occupant, was airlifted to Cooper Hospital.


The FAA is currently on the scene. No further details are available at this time.
