SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – Julie DeVuono, a 51-year-old pediatric nurse practitioner from Amityville, pleaded guilty to forging COVID-19 Vaccination Record Cards and Money Laundering in the Second Degree. On Friday, DeVuono and her corporation, Kids-On-Call Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, P.C., admitted to the charges before Supreme Court Justice John B. Collins.

From June 15, 2021, to January 27, 2022, DeVuono sold forged vaccination cards and entered false vaccination information into the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS). She charged adult customers $220 in 2021 and $350 in 2022 for these false entries. The proceeds were laundered through multiple accounts, including payments toward her mortgage.

In a separate indictment, DeVuono also pleaded guilty to Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree. She had illegally obtained prescriptions for Oxycodone in the names of relatives. The prescriptions were submitted to local pharmacies in Suffolk County between February 10, 2019, and August 14, 2021.

As a result of her criminal conduct, DeVuono and her corporation agreed to forfeit $1,252,540.63. She has also surrendered her professional licenses and is no longer permitted to practice in the medical field in New York. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Squad, along with federal and state health agencies, contributed to the investigation.
