Bronx Man Gets 15 Years for Killing Innocent Teen Bystander

BRONX, NY – Jeremiah Ryan, 18, has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree Murder. The sentencing took place on Friday, following his guilty plea on August 4.

Ryan was involved in a dispute on the afternoon of April 8, 2022, during which he fired multiple shots, fatally wounding Angellyh Yambo, 16, and injuring two other teens.

The incident occurred in front of 510 East 156th Street. Ryan fired at least six shots, striking Angellyh in her upper back, causing her death.


The other two victims sustained gunshot wounds to the leg and buttocks. Ryan was apprehended later that day.

The case was prosecuted by the Bronx District Attorney’s Office. All individuals involved in the case are asked to contact the office for further information.
