Elderly Seriously Injured in Unprovoked Attack in Chelsea Sunday Morning

MANHATTAN, NY – An 88-year-old man was attacked from behind while walking in the area of 10th Avenue and West 26th Street, within the 10th Precinct.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning when an unknown female approached the victim and struck him on the head with a blunt object. The assailant fled northbound on 10th Avenue immediately after the attack. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
