Three Arrested Following Shooting in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY – On Saturday, Central district officers observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Mariner Street.

The vehicle was coming from the direction of a recent shooting on the 200 block of Allen Street. Officers pulled over the vehicle and found a loaded Glock 19 handgun, a bag of pills, and a white powder substance suspected to be cocaine.

Jakari Witt, 28, and Tyree Chappell, 31, both of Buffalo, and Nigel Flint, 27, of Amherst, were arrested. They face charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.


Flint also faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third and Fourth Degrees. Chappell was additionally charged for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

The Buffalo Police Department is leading the investigation and asks anyone with information to call the confidential TIP CALL Line at 716-847-2255.
