Weekend Storm Could Bring Heavy Flooding to Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, MD – A significant storm system is forecast to impact Ocean City this weekend, prompting warnings from the Ocean City Police Department. Residents and visitors are advised to plan ahead and consider alternative routes as downtown Ocean City is susceptible to flooding due to heavy rainfall and tidal changes.

The Emergency Services Department will be monitoring the storm, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall of 1-4 inches, strong wind gusts of 40-60 mph, and moderate to locally major coastal flooding.
