CAMDEN, NJ – Bruce Makley, a 68-year-old man from Voorhees, New Jersey, was sentenced to 80 months in prison for possession of child sexual abuse images, as announced by U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Makley had previously pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography before U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler, who imposed the sentence on September 20, 2023.

On August 14, 2020, authorities executed a search warrant at Makley’s residence. He admitted to having over 600 images depicting child sexual abuse, some involving violent or sadistic conduct, as well as the sexual abuse or exploitation of infants and toddlers.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Kugler sentenced Makley to 10 years of supervised release and ordered him to pay $152,000 in restitution.

The investigation that led to Makley’s sentencing was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations Newark, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, the Voorhees Police Department, and the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
