97% of GOP Voters Don’t Want Chris Christie as Vengeance Campaign Continues to Flounder

TRENTON, NJ – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has about as much chance of becoming the next president of the United States as the New York Yankees do of clinching the American League wildcard. Slim to none, no pun intended.

Christie is moving up in the polls. He has moved from 0% since launching his campaign to 3% after months of railing former President Donald J. Trump to just about anyone who would listen. Unfortunately for Christie, the only ones listening to his revenge-powered political campaign is MSNBC, CNN and Democrats.

According to recent polls and data by Project 538, operated by his own employer, ABC News, 97% of Republicans don’t want Christie.

The latest individual poll, done by Emerson College Polling this week shows Trump leading the pack with an impressive 59%. Rond DeSantis trails far behind the former President at just 12%.

“The Trump voter remains resilient, and despite a dip in August’s post-debate poll, Trump has now expanded his lead and has improved his position from before the first debate,” Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling, said.

According to that poll, a majority of voters (55%) think President Biden’s age might make it too difficult for him to do the work the presidency requires, while 29% think his age provides him the experience and wisdom to do a good job as president. Sixteen percent think his age does not matter.

Chris Christie’s campaign strategy has been flawed from the start. Instead of going after Democrats and the state of the nation under Democrat leadership, Christie has chosen to keep his campaign compass on former President Trump. Day in and day out, Christie attacks the popular former president and even Trump’s Republican detractors would rather see candidates provide a plan to defeat Democrats and President Biden in 2024, not how to destroy the former President.

Christie’s strategy has raised suspicions that he is not really campaigning for president, but for a job, either in the mainstream media or in the administration of a possible Trump Republican alternative. In reality, Christie’s campaign is focused solely on trying to discredit Trump. He rarely speaks about public policy or the Democrat party’s grip on America and association problems such as corruption in federal government agencies, the immigration crisis, or other topics that are on the minds of every day Americans.
