Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Multiple Robberies

BUFFALO, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that Abdi Kadir, 25, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty to nine counts of Robbery in the First Degree and one count of Burglary in the First Degree.

Over a span of five days, Kadir committed a series of robberies targeting workers at various hotels throughout Erie County and a store on Buffalo’s West Side.

In each incident, Kadir displayed what looked like a gun. Notably, on May 17, 2021, after robbing a hotel on Millersport Highway, Kadir confronted a security guard in the parking lot, stealing her gun while threatening her with his weapon.


Kadir was arrested by the Town of Tonawanda Police officers shortly after a robbery on May 19, 2021.

He is scheduled for sentencing on January 19, 2024, and could face up to 25 years in prison.
