HURLOCK, MD – A 38-year-old man from Worcester County has realized his dream of winning the Lottery, landing a $50,000 prize from an Ultimate Cash scratch-off ticket.

The married father of three purchased the $10 instant ticket at NASR’s Exxon, located at 104 Pine Street, while on a snack run. A fan of $10 scratch-offs, he played the Ultimate Cash ticket at home as he watched TV. Upon seeing the “treasure chest” symbol, he knew he had won big. “My dream of winning finally came true,” he said.

According to the game’s rules, revealing a “treasure chest” symbol means the player wins all the listed prizes. In this case, the combined value totaled $50,000. Although elated, he waited until the evening to share the news with his family. His wife was thrilled, recounting how she “almost knocked him over with the hug” she gave him when he broke the news.

The winner, a restaurant cook, plans to purchase a new car and spend the remainder on his family.

The Ultimate Cash game, introduced in June, features a top prize of $100,000. Currently, seven top prizes remain, along with five $50,000 prizes, 34 $10,000 prizes, and several others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
