ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Atlantic City Police Department’s surveillance operation resulted in the arrest of two men, along with the recovery of a handgun and various drugs.

Detectives Christopher Dodson and James Barrett were overseeing activities on the first block of South Mansion Avenue. They observed Malik Jones and Camron Izzard apparently involved in narcotics distribution. Jones, who had an active warrant from Pennsylvania, was inside a parked vehicle with Izzard.

Upon initiating conversation, detectives saw a digital scale on the car’s center console, commonly used for distributing narcotics. Both men were arrested. Izzard was found with ecstasy, while Jones was in possession of 18 grams of cocaine and 60 bags of heroin.

K9 Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos and his K9 partner, Narco, assisted in the operation. The dog signaled the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. A subsequent search yielded a loaded handgun, six grams of cocaine, 104 grams of marijuana, multiple ecstasy pills, and materials typically used in the production of cocaine.
