WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Six vehicle theft and burglary attempts were reported in Wall Township’s south end last evening, with two of the attempts escalating to residential burglaries.

The incidents took place in the neighborhoods of Horseshoe, Sterling, Riverside Terr, River Rd, Equestrian, and Deer Run between 8 pm and 9 pm. Wall Township Police were present and patrolling the area during these events. According to authorities, two attempts involved breaking into residences—one where a front bay window was smashed but no entry gained, and another where a garage was entered after the burglar removed a garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle. In this latter instance, entry into the garage was successful.

The suspects’ vehicle is described as a dark-colored BMW SUV, believed to be occupied by three males. Of the six attempts, three targeted vehicles were left unlocked and entered, while the other vehicles were locked and were left untouched. The suspects reportedly fled the area at a high rate of speed upon sighting police.

Residents are advised to lock their vehicles and houses and to remove valuables from their cars. Exterior house lights should be left on if possible. The police urge the community to report any suspicious activity and to avoid confronting these individuals.
