BROOKLYN, NY – An 81-year-old male was assaulted with a brick during an attempted robbery near 150 Tompkins Avenue, with the unknown assailant fleeing the scene.
The incident took place on Sunday, September 3, at approximately 10:30 AM. The victim was walking when he was approached by an unknown individual who demanded money. The suspect then threw a brick at the victim, hitting him in the hip, before fleeing eastbound on Vernon Avenue. The victim declined medical treatment.
Police are seeking to identify the individual responsible for the attack. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the 79th Precinct.
