Man Robs Philadelphia Rite Aid at Gunpoint

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Central Detective Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed a Rite Aid store last Sunday.

At around 1:00 pm, the suspect handed a note to the cashier at the store located at 2131 North Broad Street.

The note demanded money from the register and threatened the use of a firearm. The suspect then displayed the end of a magazine of a semi-automatic handgun.

The cashier complied, handing over $373 from the register. The suspect fled the scene on foot. He is described as a 20-year-old black male, 5’5″ tall, wearing a black “Nike” sweatshirt, a black mask, and sunglasses with blue arms.

The Central Detective Division is responsible for investigating this case. Anyone with information that could aid in identifying the suspect is asked to contact the division.
