WORCESTER, MA — Christopher Williams, a 35-year-old resident of Southbridge, was sentenced to one year in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. Following the prison term, he will also serve two years of supervised release.

In September 2021, Williams pleaded guilty to distributing a mixture containing methamphetamine as well as distributing 50 grams or more of a similar substance. The sentencing was carried out by U.S. Senior District Court Judge Timothy S. Hillman.

The case stemmed from two incidents in January 2021, during which Williams sold multiple ounces of methamphetamine to an undercover officer in Southbridge for $4,500.

The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy, Brian D. Boyle of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Boston Field Division, Inspector Ketty Larco-Ward of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service’s Boston Division, and Southbridge Police Chief Shane Woodson. The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Danial E. Bennett from the Worcester Branch Office.
