“The extreme far-left policies of the Murphy administration and Trenton Democrats are clearly having a negative impact on quality-of-life issues for New Jerseyans. Car thefts, smash and grabs, and burglaries are a direct result of this administration’s soft-on-crime approach,” said Bucco (R-25). “From school funding cuts to costly utility rates to radical energy mandates for electric vehicles, the cost of living in New Jersey is being driven higher than ever before. Not to mention this administration’s vehement opposition to parental rights. It is abundantly clear that Democrats are not prioritizing the needs or safety of New Jersey residents with their approach.”
Monmouth University released a poll yesterday that showed notable declines in how New Jerseyans were feeling about public safety and schools. The percentage of respondents who felt safe in their own neighborhoods dropped below 60% for the first time since September 2014.
The percentage of respondents who felt like their local schools were doing a good job also fell below 60% for the first time since February 2019.
Senator Bucco believes that these downward trends are a direct result of the extreme, far-left policies being pushed by the Murphy administration and Democrats in the Legislature.
