MEMPHIS, TN – Marshall Marshall, 21, has been sentenced to 192 months in federal prison for his involvement in a carjacking, an attempted carjacking, and a business robbery. U.S. District Court Judge Sheryl H. Lipman also mandated three years of supervised release after Marshall’s prison term. The sentencing was announced today by United States Attorney Kevin Ritz.
No parole exists in the federal system.
Khavah Levy, 19, Marshall’s co-defendant, was sentenced on June 29 to 96 months in prison. Levy previously pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting Marshall in the robbery and attempted carjacking. She is also required to serve three years of supervised release.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Memphis Police Department Safe Streets Task Force conducted the investigation.
Court details show that Marshall and Levy engaged in multiple robberies in October 2021. On October 2, Marshall stole $145 from a person after ordering them out of their car. Later that day, he and Levy stole $500 from a convenience store. On October 3, they attempted another carjacking at gunpoint in a local grocery store parking lot.
