Suspect Charged for Setting Vehicle Fire at Michael Walsh Apartments

UTICA, NY – On the night of September 26th, Utica Police and Fire units responded to a vehicle fire at the Michael Walsh Apartments on Gray Ave. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire upon arrival.

The owner of the vehicle was interviewed, and additional evidence was gathered from the scene and witnesses. These findings led investigators to determine that the fire had been intentionally set. Based on this information, a suspect was identified.

An investigator from the Criminal Investigations Division took over the case and, on September 29th, located and charged the suspect. Amber Henderson, 37, of Utica, has been charged with Arson in the third degree.
