YORK, PA – Ishan Phinn, a 27-year-old man, was recently arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police on Monday, following his escape from official detention in South Carolina.

On April 28, troopers attempted to detain him, leading to a pursuit due to his resistance and a subsequent finding of a small amount of marijuana on his person.

Upon his initial capture, Phinn was taken to York Hospital for evaluation, and despite being under detention, managed to escape in the early hours of April 30.

A range of charges awaits Phinn, including aggravated assault, escape, resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, and marijuana possession.

The Pennsylvania State Police asked for any information that could further solidify the case against Phinn. Assistance may be provided through various channels, including a direct call to PSP-York or anonymously through the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers.
