Howell Police Promotions and New Hires Announced

HOWELL, NJ – The Howell Police Department announced promotions and welcomed new officer to the force this week.

The Howell Police Department extended congratulations to their two recently promoted Sergeants: Ed Homiek and Nick Austin.

Sgt. Homiek, previously from the midnight shift, is undergoing training on the dayshift and will conclude the year with the Day Squad. With 8 years under his belt, his experience spans roles as a Patrol Officer and a Narcotics Detective.


On the other hand, Sgt. Austin, formerly from the Dayshift, is transitioning to the Evening shift for training and will complete the year in the Evening Squad. He boasts 9 years with Howell Police and an additional year with the Camden County Police Department, having served as a Patrol Officer and in the Detective Bureau.

In addition, the department is pleased to introduce its new hires: Joseph Pipher and Daniel Acquaro. Officer Pipher previously served with the Medford Twp Police Department, while Officer Acquaro hails from the Hanover Twp Police Department. Both officers have embarked on their departmental training and are now partnered with Field Training Officers.
